Following the horrific events in Charlottesville, Virginia, I kept thinking of this loving kindness meditation. I first heard it from the lovely SARK (it's a song, too!) and when I'm feeling helpless and scared in our incredibly hurting world, I turn again and again to these words.
I thought they might bring you and your family some solace as well. Print it as many times as you'd like — tape it to mirrors, hang it in your living room, frame it and give it as a gift. Whatever we can do to put some extra love out into our world today is so important, and so needed.
